Buenas, muy buen artículo. Solo una puntuación, a mi me pasa perfectamente el Acid2 con IE8, lo demás... igual de decepcionado.

¡Qué desastre! Yo que por primera vez pensaba darle una oportunidad

En definitiva, como programador web estoy tremendamente cabreado. Si ya había que diseñar para IE6, IE7 y FF2, ahora parece que habrá que hacerlo también de otra manera totalmente distinta para IE8

completamente una putada decir eso para un programa que le falta un año para salir de manera definitiva

PD no estoy ni hay con microsoft

Al parecer esa imagen no corresponde con test oficial de webstandars.org, sinó de una copia que intenta acceder a una URL de otro dominio haciendo saltar la seguridad de ActiveX para cross-domain.

¡Pero que idiota! Tu mismo lo estás diciendo: Beta 1 de Internet Explorer 8.

(a los que habeis comentado antes)Ha dejado recado Steve Ballmer que mandéis vuestros datos personales para giraros el cheque.

Dejando a un lado las coñas, si cuando Mozilla comete fallos y no pasa algunos de los test o se cepilla algún estándar se habla, no entiendo porque no se va a hacer con Microsoft. Son fases de desarrollo, Microsoft comete fallos, Mozilla y Opera también, lo preocupante es que saliera así el producto, que no va a ser.

Gilliam, no se de que no te has enterado (y perdona si suena en mal tono, pues no es así), pero aquí se está hablando de que el error de que hablan de IE8 no es tal, sino que pasa perfectamente el test ACID2.
¿Qué es lo que no te has enterado?
Los errores los hablamos, es más, anieto2k IE8 los comenta perfectamente en su blog, incluso termina diciendo que le deja mal sabor de boca.
Claro que comentamos los fallos y más aún los de microsoft que es odiado por la gran mayoría.
Pero lo que no le vamos a hacer, es poner fallos donde no los hay

Ayer por la noche me instalé la Beta1 de IE8.

Me gustó, muchísimo más, que el IE7. De hecho, su interfaz es menos fea que la versión 7. Arranca muy rápido y pasa completamente el test Acid2. He encontrado muy útil la herramienta para desarrolladores. La integración con servicios de la web2.0 (véase publicar en el blog, spaces, etc.) está muy bien, aunque faltan servicios de otras compañias

En cuanto a tu apunte del "montado" de la página, ¿te has planteado el por que no se ven bien las pestañas? Puede que, los otros navegadores no sean 100% estándard (y no lo digo por el IE7 ). Puede, y digo puede, que la web no esté bien estandarizada.

Que conste que no soy defensor de M$, ni de IE. Mi navegador habitual es Opera, navegador entre navegadores.

Inepto de los cojones, decir que IE7 es mas rapido que Firefox 2, me parece a mi que tu no has tocado mucho firefox

si pasa el test... me parece que o tu no sabes abrir programas, o tu pantalla de ordenador se ve segmentada DD.

En fin, criticar por criticar es de idiotas.

Veamos, el problema de que no pase el test es por una restricción de seguridad que "rompe" el test. ¿Se puede decir que lo pasa? Pues no lo sé, afirmar cualquiera de las dos cosas (sí/no) es hilar fino.

¿Por qué hay gente que dice que lo pasa y otros que no? Por que van a sitios diferentes a pasarlo (o quizás tienen ajustes de seguridad diferentes). Probad:
* Aquí lo pasa
* Aquí lo pasa
* Aquí no lo pasa

En el primer caso hay una URL al dominio www.webstandards.org que coincide con el de la página, con lo que todo va bien. En el segundo no coinciden ("www.webstandards.org"!="webstandards.org"). En el tercer tampoco coinciden (en este caso en absoluto).

ERRATA: En el segundo caso NO pasa la prueba.

Malditos geeks antiMS y pro linux me tienen harto, dejen de tirar piedras contra Microsoft, a mi IE8 me anda perfecto, toy cansado de su ridicula pretencion de creer que linux y firefox son perfectos y no tienen errores y windows e ie son una lacra, la verdad cansan estos articulos amarillistas, que nada aportan a la comunidad sino mas confunsion, que ridiculo por Dios, sos al unico que ie8 le anda mal claro seguro que tmb te anda mal windows vista, no me extrañaria que fueses unos de los que predijo que necesitaria una super pc para correrlo, espero publiques mi comentario.

yo desde que le cambiaron la interface del 6 al 7 no lo he usado. o he seguio utilizando la version 6 o el firefox. odio la interface del 7 y 8. como no la vuelvan aponer como ene l 6 este señor nno utiliza el explorer.

"Internet Explorer 8: decepción total", que clase de titulo es este, se trata de un producto beta, puesto a disposicion de todos los que quieran utilizarlo en su fase beta para probarlo, por lo tanto tiene errores como cualquier programa en su fase de testeo inicial.

ayuden a mejorar las cosas, prueben las herramientas que hay a disposición, pero por favor no publiquen MIERDA. (Anticipadamente).
Al menos esperen la version final.

mozilla firefox 3 es excelente soy de sudamerica y mi pc corre de maravillas en cuanto al explorer 7 que tenia ya lo borre de mi computadora era pésimo.

El resultado del test para IE8 sale algo parecido a un pirata con parche en el ojo. Ummm, no se que pensar...

Tantas coñas con los tests y tal, y tanto rollo con los navegadores, cuando las páginas web hechas en flash se ven perfectamente en todos ellos.

Lo que hay que hacer es abandonar los lenguajes prehistoricos como el javascript y html, que son una verguenza. Probad el flex 3 de adobe y os dará igual que navegador usen vuestros clientes.

Es aun una Beta. Aun no se le puede juzgar.

Compa! pues ya te lo han dicho varios antes, hablas de la beta 1, aunque actualmente ya está la beta 2 este título sigue siendo incorrecto porque no deja de ser beta, y estoy seguro que la version final estará funcionando perfecto, y en horabuena con lo de los estandares eso apesar del dolorcito de cabeza que le traera a los diseñadores web, sera un paso muy importante y que finalmente nos beneficiara a los usuarios y a todos los navegadores web. Firefox, Opera tambien tienen sus fallas en fases beta, pero también en sus versiones finales andan excelente. Espero te quede claro para que sirven las versiones beta, que no son precisamente para recibir las criticas de un software terminado !!!!!!!! ciao

Yo siempre fuí , y seré Pro Windows, pero el IE8 me anda para la mona.Y ni hablar del último Firefox,peor. Windows Vista anda como seda, asi que instalé el Safari.A esperar el IE8 final.Saludos.

hola soy usuario de microsoft y sus productos desde hace muchos anos y en verdad hay fallas en cada uno de ellos. por ejemplo en vista no estoy de acuerdo con cel alto consumo de recursos pero en lo particular funciona bien. en caso de IE 8 beta (BETA) aun tiene sus fallos en la compatibilidad de algunas webs esperemos que sean superados en la version final. comparto los comentarios de que mucho se intenta desprestigiar a windows y sus componentes pero les digo que al menos para mi pasan superficiales, dejemos de ser muy extremistas y hagan comentarios constructivos gracias.

Ni el IE7 ni ningun otro internet explorer será nunca mejor que Firefox.
Microsof va de culo con internet explorer. Cada vez que dan un paso hacia delante, retroceden dos. Así es con IE8 y así lo será con los siguientes.
Por lo tanto, no se puede decir que este navegador decepcione porque todos saben que siempre será una mierda, ya nadie espera nada de el.

En resumen, si te gusta el malware, la lentitud y el masoquismo, sin lugar a dudas el explorer es tu navegador.
